Home for the holidays.

December 31, 2007

It’s been a really long time, I know and I really don’t have anything to say today other than I found this video on YouTube and love it.
Enjoy.

Site Visit, Cabbage town.

October 5, 2007

My new site is in Cabbage town, Atlanta. I love, love, love cabbage town, it’s like a brighter-warmer-friendlier buffalo. The neighborhood is gentrifying but some of the residents are still left over from the old cotton mill days. When Fulton Cotton was open most of the residents were of Appalachian decent. So their are a lot of great spaces and lofts in the neighborhood rich in cultural tradition.
The shotgun houses are great and I can’t wait to go back to shot more photos when my camera gets fixed. I shot this truck quick so the lens shield wasn’t yet screwed on. I like the way it came out.
All the best.

Fall Break

September 28, 2007

Soooo00, you’ll NEVER guess where I’m going to Fall Break!!

Hint:

I know it’s been a while but times are busy. Today while tooling away at the studio I was made aware of some social happenings on campus. So I grabbed my trusty camera (that is still taking blurry photos) and ran over. Most of the students were yelling over them and someone even brought bagpipes. Yay Tech! I took a video of it Cassi should be posting it sometime today I’ll update the blog later.
For now here are some images.

It’s been a looong time.

August 27, 2007

It’s been a while, things have gotten really busy, fast. I started a new job co-oping at The Sizemore group on the 16th and that following Monday I started grad school. This semester should be a good one I’ve got Gamble for studio, and I’m researching information models. More specifically the way people, books and European ceramics are organized and labeled. It’s all really preliminary but I’m excited about the potential.

Mom was here last week and we went to see the High so that’s were this weeks photos are from. Glad she was here :)

If I could with confidence say their is a physical manifestation of hell on earth it would be this. I can’t tell you where this is but I can say I took the photos and it was three hours of what I’m sure (if you know me) you know was hell. I hate hospitals, we can caulk it up to a therapeutic shock therapy session.
On a positive note I didn’t pass out, always the consummate professional.

FINISHED! (no spoiler)

July 30, 2007

(fun cheesy photo shop)

Finished with Harry Potter the Deathly Hollows completely burnt out! After an all weekend Harry Potter marathon I’ve finished the last book in the series. I’m finally relieved of my Harry Potter abandonment guilt and can now resume my normal social schedule free from the guilt of a good children’s book awaiting me at home.
Mom comes to visit in three weeks and I expect she’ll be reading it non-stop while I’m in school. No one spoil it for her!! After finishing it I understand the importance of not ruining this ending, like it or not it’s well constructed.
